Not eligible for Best of Show. Half Doll Category: Half dolls that are from a manufacturers mold finished either as "tassel dolls" or as a part of a completed project, such as a "sewing caddy" (this is just an example, any half doll must be a completed project). Dolls must be on a stand if presented as a tassel doll. Not eligible for Best of Show. Clowns: All dolls entered into the special Clown Category are to be dressed and painted as a clown. It will be your choice of what era you choose to costume your doll, the requirement for this category is simply that you dress and paint your doll as a clown. Silver Screen: All dolls entered into the Silver Screen category must portray a Hollywood film star from the movies and the character must be identified on the registration card. If you have made Marilyn Monroe then state that on your entry sheet. French Antique Reproduction: While all entries in the Antique Reproduction Category do not have to be French, the highest scoring French Maker Antique Reproduction will be awarded a special award as we honor the French Doll Makers of yesteryear. At this time we are gathering information from mold companies and their representatives for special awards to be given to doll makers using molds from these mold lines. Please check back often as we will be posting those manufacturers names and the criteria for awards. When you register your doll you must notify the person accepting your registration of your intent to enter any special category listed above. If you do not notify them you entry will not be considered for the special award.
