Silver Screen in Hollywood:

All dolls entered into the special Silver Screen Category are to be dressed as a Hollywood screen star from any era.  It will be your choice of what era you choose to costume your doll, the requirement for this category is simply that you dress and paint your doll as a Silver Screen Star, interpreted that is any film star in Hollywood from any era.  Please identify your entry by identifying the person in your sign in forms...i.e. Judy Garland as Dorothy in Wizard of Oz.

All rules and regulation that apply to the regular competition will also apply to these entries concerning the judging scores.  These dolls may be modern or antique but will all be judged in this category with no special consideration given to the type of doll.  all dolls entered into the Silver Screen category will be eligible for Best of Show.

Clowns:

This category will include any doll, bust, or miniature from a mold.  The doll maker may take artistic license to change the piece into a clown and to create a doll interpreted as a clown that is otherwise interpreted as a child or adult.  The pieces may include such mediums as raised paste, metallic paints, and the use of applied mediums or any other specialty paints.  All dolls entered into this category are encouraged to use their imagination to create not only a circus clown but dolls that may represent the clowns from European stages in history that were the forerunners to our modern clowns.
