Making a French Slipper You know this instructor is serious when she refers to her students as "future cobblers"! Learn the art of making beautiful shoes with Kathy Monier of Lady in the Shoe. Kathy has chosen a French slipper for you to construct in her class. Your slippers will be constructed from black silk with cream colored antique twill cotton lining and polished leather soles. As a special feature each shoe will be trimmed with coordinating black and cream silk piping and rosette and have a wooden painted shiny black heel. Class enrollment is limited to 20 students. Sculpting with Glenda Carey This year Glenda has chosen a whimsical clown for her sculpting class project. Students will learn to sculpt the features of this little guy and the class will concentrate on the whimsy of character doll facial features. Your finished project will be presented in the costume as shown and each doll will be attached to its own 4" completed base. All costumes and decorative touches are completed by the instructor so that her students can concentrate on the sculpt. Each student will receive a completed, dressed body and stand as shown. Your project will be complete with your added sculpt and you will leave with a finished project. Limited class enrollment, please.
Sewing with a Serger Need some help figuring out why the thread always breaks or the needles won't stay threaded on your serger? Patti Lowe will teach a general information class using your serger and will help you not only get over the desire to kick it to the curb, but she will help you learn to love it! For this three hour class you are asked to bring your serger to class with your handbook or instruction manual and together you will unravel the mysteries of this wonderful machine. Class fee is $40.00 and students will be contacted and given a list of supplies to bring upon registration. Do plan on bringing your serger, additional needles and thread. All other supplies will be listed and a note sent to each student who registers by the instructor.
